Full Itinerary
Day 1
Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
Your safari adventure begins in the morning when our guide from WAZO SAFARIS picks you up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the beautiful Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Lake Manyara may be smaller than other parks, but it offers amazing wildlife viewing. As you enter, you’ll drive through a lush forest where baboons and monkeys move freely in the trees. Soon the landscape opens up to grassy plains and the lake itself.
You may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hippos near the water. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions — a rare sight if you’re lucky. Birdlife here is impressive, with flamingos often decorating the lakeshore.
After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue your afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or campsite near Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to Tarangire National Park, a place known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.
Tarangire has a peaceful and natural atmosphere. The Tarangire River attracts many animals, especially during the dry season. It’s common to see elephants gathering near the river, along with zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and different antelope species.
Lions are often spotted resting in the shade, and if you are lucky, you may even see a leopard. The open landscape makes wildlife viewing very enjoyable and relaxed.
After a full day exploring the park, you will drive to your lodge or campsite for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3
Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
Today you head to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is beautiful as you pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands before reaching the endless plains of Serengeti.
When you enter Serengeti, you immediately understand why it is one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations. The open savannah seems to stretch forever.
You will enjoy an afternoon game drive on arrival. Serengeti is home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and huge herds of wildebeests and zebras. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration.
After the game drive, you will head to your lodge or tented camp inside the park for dinner and overnight. Falling asleep in the middle of Serengeti is truly a special experience.

Day 4
Full Day in Serengeti
Today is dedicated to exploring Serengeti at a relaxed pace.
An early morning game drive often gives the best chance to see predators active before the sun gets too hot. You might see lions hunting, hyenas roaming, or cheetahs scanning the plains.
Throughout the day, your guide will help you explore different areas of the park, searching for wildlife and explaining animal behavior, ecosystems, and local conservation efforts.
After a picnic lunch in the bush, continue your game drive before returning to camp in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner and your final night in Serengeti.

Day 5
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
After breakfast, you will drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater.
The crater is one of the most unique wildlife areas in the world. Surrounded by high crater walls, it creates a natural home for thousands of animals. It is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino.
During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and many bird species near the lake.
After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend back to the rim and drive to Arusha or transfer to the airport for your departure.
Your safari with WAZO SAFARIS ends here — but the memories will stay with you for a lifetime.
