This four-day private safari is structured to deliver concentrated wildlife exposure across three of Northern Tanzania’s most productive ecosystems. The itinerary begins in Tarangire National Park, continues with two nights in Serengeti National Park, and concludes with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater before returning to Arusha.

Full Itinerary
Day 1
Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your private safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha, driving approximately two to three hours to Tarangire National Park. The park is defined by open savannah, seasonal wetlands, and ancient baobab trees that dominate the skyline.
Game drives focus along the Tarangire River, a permanent water source that attracts elephants, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and antelope species throughout the year. Tarangire is particularly recognized for its large elephant herds, often observed in multi-generational family groups. Lions are frequently located resting under acacia trees, while leopards may occasionally be sighted in riverine woodland.
After a picnic lunch inside the park and continued afternoon exploration, you proceed to your selected lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you depart toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers varied scenery as the landscape transitions from highland forest to expansive plains.
Upon entering Serengeti, game viewing begins immediately. Central Serengeti maintains consistent wildlife density due to permanent water sources and stable prey populations. Lions occupy rocky kopjes, cheetahs patrol open grasslands, and leopards are often found along river corridors. Large herds of wildebeest and zebras are commonly observed year-round.
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Full Day in Serengeti National Park
This full day allows extended exploration of the Serengeti ecosystem with complete flexibility under your private guide.
Early morning game drives increase the likelihood of observing active predators. Depending on the season, portions of the Great Migration may be present within driving range. Elephant herds, buffalo, giraffes, hyenas, and various antelope species contribute to the region’s ecological stability.
You may choose a full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp midday before continuing in the afternoon. The private arrangement allows the schedule to be adjusted based on wildlife movement and personal preference.
Dinner and overnight remain at your Serengeti accommodation.

Day 4
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you depart Serengeti and drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
The crater floor hosts a dense and stable wildlife population, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, and hyenas. It remains one of Tanzania’s most reliable locations for sightings of the endangered black rhino. The enclosed volcanic landscape allows concentrated wildlife viewing within a defined geographic area.
After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you ascend to the rim and continue the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon where your private safari with WAZO SAFARIS concludes.
